FESTIVALS:

Important festivals such as Pongal and Deepavali are celebrated in a fitting manner and to the joy and happiness of the inmates of JEEVA JYOTHI ILLAM. Various competitions befitting the elderly are also conducted, keeping ever alive the enthusiasm of the elderly. National Festivals such as the Independence Day and the Republic Day are also celebrated with national pride. Important Religious Festivals, and particularly Christmas, are celebrated with due reverence and decorum. Christmas is celebrated as the Day of Sharing not only in the home for the destitute aged people but also in the 6 colonies of leprosy patients.

ANNIVERSARY DAY:

Every year on 11th Nov JEEVA JYOTHI ILLAM celebrates the Anniversary Day in the best manner possible. It is the Day of Thanksgiving for all friends, benefactors and well-wishers whose thoughtfulness, generosity and goodwill have supported, sustained and carries forward the endeavours of the Home. It is the Red-letter Day in the annals of DALPART. On that day we also keep the memory of Rev, Fr. Sean McFerran, an Irish Priest who had been the inspiration behind every endeavour of DALPART. On that occasion we also remember all our departed benefactors and friends whose thoughtfulness and generosity had spurred us on.
